Kettleby Foods platinum zero waste award was recognised in the July/August 2016 edition of Business Network.

Platinum award will not go to waste
Samworth Bros subsidiary Kettleby Foods, together with PH Hull & Sons, the group's recycling supplier, won a platinum award at the Zero Waste Awards.
The accolade recognised its 4R (reduce, reuse, recycle, recover) plan for reducing waste. Thanks to Melton Mowbray-based Kettleby's 4R plan, 62% of waste from the site is now recycled and 38% sent to generate energy.
Working with PH Hull & Sons, the plan is now implemented throughout the site's supply chain.
Kettleby Foods also won Environmental Initiative of the Year at the Food Manufacturer AWards last year for this plan.
Deborah Carlin, Group Sustainability Adviser, said: "These awards are a tremendous achievement and accomplishment for everyone at these sites. These prestigious accolades come as we launch a group-wide 4R plan to promote and manage our environmental responsibilities".
