PH Hull customer acquires four new balers to increase recycling opportunities

One of our customers took delivery this month, of four new balers for cardboard and plastic. Three sites received the new balers, arranged through P H Hull as part of their customer contract.

Following a site by site audit of loose card and plastic recycling, opportunities were identified to increase recycling rates, reduce carbon emissions and create savings, even with the cost of card falling on the global markets, an all-round win for our customer and the environment.

Benefits of baling:

Provide clearer recycling opportunities by redirecting card and plastic away from general waste for fuel.
Reduce road miles due to less frequent collections.
Greater cost savings from baled card/plastic than loose
Free up yard space required for storage of loose recyclate
