PLATINUM WINNER - ZERO WASTE AWARDS
Congratulations to Kettleby Foods, who in partnership with PH Hull & Sons are the overall winner of the Zero Waste Awards 2016.
The accolade was presented to Kettleby Foods and PH Hull & Sons at the Awards for Excellence, in London on 19th May 2016.
The Awards for Excellence praised the partnership and achievements of Kettleby Foods and PH Hull & Sons stating
"Engaging with PH Hull & Sons was the starting point for Kettleby Food's journey to achieving wider waste management goals and ultimately a move towards zero waste to landfill for its business.
Kettleby Foods is dedicated to improving site environmental performance and where possible reducing their impact on the environment. Using the '4 Rs principle; Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Recover they achieved zero waste to landfill in 2010, with 62% total recycled and 38% residual sent for energy for waste among other notable achievements".
Also congratulations to Blueberry Foods, who did exceptionally well to obtain a GOLD award in the Zero Waste Awards and were also shortlist finalists. The achievements of Blueberry Foods in only one year were recognised by the Judges who were evidently impressed by the increase in recycling from 6% to 43% in less than 12 months.
PH Hull & Sons are incredibly proud of the achievements of Kettleby Foods and Blueberry Foods and the contribution they could provide in helping these bakeries acheive such high accolades.
