Soreen awards PH Hull contract for Manchester bakery
PH Hull are delighted to be extending their contract with Samworth Brothers to incorporate the Soreen site based in Manchester. PH Hull will be implementing a total waste management and recycling service, maximising Soreen’s recycling capacity as high up the waste hierarchy rankings as possible.
Soreen have provided its famous malt loaf to generations across the country for nearly 80 years. PH Hull is very proud to be supporting Soreen via their client document and waste reporting portal. This will support the team at Soreen to identify recycling targets and drive improvements in waste and recycling awareness across the site.
The contract also involves the installation of a state of the art food collection system which records the weight of food collected for reuse by line via an in-building container system, meaning bakery staff do not have to go into outside production areas to put waste food into containers and the bakery has daily reporting of food weights by line.
